Applied Electronics Mobilizes Multi-Health Systems’ Training and Collaboration with New Video Conferencing Capabilities

Applied Electronics designed and integrated a new audio visual system in MHS’ training facility at their Canadian head office in North York, Ontario. The educational theatre boasts two 119” (diagonal) 16:9 Draper Access FIT E electric projection screens, two Panasonic WUXGA 1920 x 1080 resolution LCD projectors, and a SMART kapp iQ + Pro one-touch access interactive whiteboard to capture notes and ideas in real time to any connected laptop, tablet, smartphone, or other SMART boards. The Polycom RealPresence Group 700 HD video conferencing system with a Polycom EagleEye IV camera and Polycom Group Lync Interop enable users to remotely join a presentation and participate in a training session. The audio system includes a Toa multi-channel amplifier, JBL Control 70V ceiling speakers and Sennheiser G3 wireless bodypack transmitter for the presenter. All room automation and control is achieved with a Crestron control system with a 8.7” wall mounted touchpanel. A complete, high-definition presentation control and signal routing solution for classrooms, boardrooms, lecture halls, and videoconference rooms, the Crestron 3-Series DigitalMedia presentation system 300 integrates the control system, multi-format matrix switcher, mic mixer, audio DSP, amplifier, and DigitalMedia distribution center all into a single 3-space rackmount package.
The executive boardroom boasts a Polycom unified conference station for Microsoft Lync, which delivers a unique HD voice and video collaboration experience in Skype for Business environments, and offers an 360-degree “round-table” video collaboration experience with Microsoft Lync. The room’s audio visual system also includes a NEC 65” FHD LED LCD panel display, a SMART kapp iQ + Pro one-touch access interactive whiteboard, a Crestron DigitalMedia presentation system, an Extron HDMI distribution amplifier, Clear One ceiling microphone arrays, JBL ceiling speakers, and a Biamp Tesira FORTE T1 DSP fixed I/O server.
