Applied Electronics Upgrades Medtronic of Canada Boardrooms and Meeting Rooms with Video Conferencing for Improved Collaboration

It has regional offices in Vancouver and Montreal, and an atrial fibrillation ablation catheter manufacturing facility – Medtronic Cryocath – in the Montreal metropolitan area which employs another 305 employees.
Medtronic’s new headquarters was designed according to Leadership in Energy Efficiency & Design (LEED) principles to provide an energy efficient work space using innovative, state of the art technology to reduce their impact on the environment.
Applied Electronics designed and upgraded the existing analog audio/video system to the latest digital and video conferencing technology in their Executive Boardroom and two meeting rooms at the Brampton head office. These meeting spaces are now equipped with new Cisco video conferencing systems and Extron routing system. Barco ClickShare wireless presentation systems allow presenters to simply share their laptop or mobile devices on the main presentation screen with the click of a button. The existing room control system was also upgraded to a Crestron control systems utilizing a 8.7 wireless touch panel in each meeting room.
At Medtronic’s regional office in Pointe-Claire, QC, Applied Electronics also upgraded their conference room with a Sharp 80” 1080p LED thin bezel display panel, Cisco video conferencing system, Extron routing, and a Barco ClickShare wireless presentation system.
